I have submitted routes and had them accepted, and submitted routes and had them turned down, and quietly decided against submitting others because I could already guess how it would go. That last category is what started this website.
I am not against FastestKnownTime.com, which is the record of the sport, which I use, and which I would much rather see working well than not at all. What I object to are the criteria for accepting a route: they are not applied evenly, and a submitter has no way of working out in advance whether their route will be listed.
So I built the things I thought were missing: a proposed route rubric, a route difficulty scorer, a way of ranking a single attempt, and a way to score the entire FKT portfolio of an athlete.
If you have had a route rejected, or decided not to submit one, I would like to hear about it. Start a discussion in the forum about your FKT experience.
